515 km of excellently prepared piste offer just the right challenge for everyone – from demanding athletic descents and natural deep snow slopes, to sunny wide carving slopes for families, beginners and more leisurely skiers.
And that's not all: Snowboarding funparks, groomed racing and speed runs, a skiing kindergarten, as well a numerous cosy ski lodges and wonderfully located mountain restaurants with sun terraces will delight any guest.
Cross-Country Skiing in Zillertal

Tobogganing Fun
A tobogganing trip in Zillertal's winter wonderland is an ideal family excursion, and an experience that will amaze both young and old – in short, a 'must do' part of any winter holiday! Climb on foot or by cable car, followed by a speedy descent into the valley – tobogganing is simply great fun. You will find 14 excellently groomed toboggan runs with a total length of around 45 kilometres in Zillertal, 30 km of which are floodlit at night, so there's nothing to stop you enjoying an exciting evening tobogganing expedition!
Snow Shoe Trekking
Discover peaceful side valleys with pristine mountains and summits under your own steam. Many ski and Alpine schools in the valley offer guided snow shoe tours, incl. the possibility of hiring sports equipment.

Ice-skating is great fun - not only for children. Anyone gliding over ice as smooth as glass, on well sharpened blades, will feel like an ice prince or princess. There are a total of 9 natural and artificial ice-skating rinks in Zillertal to enjoy.

Immerse yourself in the pleasant warmth – the indoor pool at Mayrhofen Leisure Pool in Zillertal is just the thing for warming up and recharging your batteries on cold winter days. You wind down, warm up, bathe and simply enjoy the warm water temperature of around 31°C - in a pool area of 300 m². Extra fun and variety is provided by a spa pool and various aquatic features (water torrent, waterfall, neck jets, massage jets and whirlpool loungers). The giant 101m slide will delight both young and old. Even more fun is offered on the Crazy River (65m) tubing slide.
